WDAC is Seeking More Board Members
Wisconsin Downtown Action Council (WDAC) is a statewide organization established to facilitate the revitalization of Wisconsin downtowns as vibrant social and economic centers. We are currently looking for Business Improvement District Managers/Executive Directors to join our board who will work with other Board members to pursue our mission through a mix of strategies including developing partnerships with other organizations, information sharing, and facilitating networking and peer learning. It is our vision that all Wisconsin communities will recognize and support their downtowns as special places and work together for the betterment of all Wisconsin downtowns.
Expectations of Board Members:
* WDAC membership as an individual or business
* Attend Board meetings, 6 per year (locations rotate around the state, call in info provided but in person attendance
enouraged as often as possible.)
* Serve on at least 1 WDAC Committee
* Participate in WDAC conferences and special events
* Stay informed about WDAC business and come well-prepared for meetings
* Serve as an ambassador for WDAC in your personal and professional activities
* Actively support the growth and success of WDAC as a statewide organization through fundraising and membership recruitment
Criteria Used for Nominations:
The nomination committee will use the following criteria in considering nominated candidates:
* Downtown knowledge experience and expertise
* Geographic diversity
* Diversity of backgrounds and professional expertise
* Personality qualities including vision, commitment, team player, strategic thinker, networker and strong work ethic
* Ability to leverage resources and capital
* Knowledge of WDAC and their partners
