Construction “Lemonade”
Middleton, WI is making lemonade from their construction lemons… a popular green space downtown is under construction all summer, including loss of parking/access for local businesses, occasional road closures for utility work, the whole thing. But they are using that as the catalyst for a “Hard Hat Club” for kids with activities planned throughout the summer. Kids get a bag of swag from local businesses including a “hard” hat, there’s a construction themed storywalk and various events to bring people to various businesses all summer.
