Another Great Two Rivers Summer…for Events and so Much More!
As we approach mid-summer in Two Rivers, the calendar becomes more and more crowded with
activities. We’re coming off an extremely successful fist time event, A Tribute to Bryan Lee Day, held in
our downtown Central Park. With over 1,000 people in attendance, and performers from all over the
United States, an event that started from a phone call between Bryan’s widow and a City Council
member became an incredible tribute to Bryan Lee, the Braille Blues Daddy, who was born in Two Rivers
in 1943 and passed away last summer. This felt like the beginnings of an annual event and showcased
our community to a lot of first time visitors.
Next up is Snow Fest, which began in 1936 when a group of city workers found a huge mound of snow
buried underground…in the middle of summer. On July 24, 1937, the first Snow Fest was held in Two
Rivers. Complete with a truck full of snow and a parade through the city, Snow Fest became a favorite in
the community.
In the 1990’s Snow Fest disappeared due to a number of factors. Fortunately, in 2020 Two Rivers natives
Jeff and Tony Sachse decided to bring it back. The pandemic postponed it for a year, but Snow Fest 2021
will be held July 23-25, 2021. Multiple music stages, the traditional parade, carnival rides, and a great
variety of area craft beers will greet visitors to this event. Three days of music will be on tap, from country to
rock to a little bit of polka. A variety of food trucks will be available, as will shuttles to get you from
parking areas to the event. Visit trsnowfest.org online for complete information about this event.
Another new, old happening in Two Rivers this year is the ping pong ball drop at our annual sidewalk
sale, Maxwell Street Day, coming up on August 6th . This tradition has been done in a number of fashions
over the years, from a helicopter to an airplane, and this year, with a drone. Many of the balls will be
designated with discounts from downtown businesses, giving shoppers a chance to save even more
from the sidewalk sale prices! www.TwoRiversMainStreet.com will have further information on this
event.
Two Rivers hosts a wide variety of events for visitors and residents alike, all summer long. There are
events for all ages, held throughout the community. You can find our complete event calendar at

If you’re just looking for a place to relax, Two Rivers has that, too. Our jewel on the Lakeshore, Neshotah
Beach, is a great place to unwind. Groomed daily by our Parks & Recreation Department, our “best
beach in Wisconsin” is a popular stop any day of the week.
Take a drive to the “Coolest Coast” and see what Two Rivers has to offer this summer. You’ll be glad you
did.
