The Wisconsin Downtown Action Council is pleased to be an endorsing partner for ARTS DAY 2012, the premier advocacy day focused on the arts, arts education and creative economy for the state of Wisconsin. Several hundred Wisconsin residents representing hundreds of non-profit and for-profit organizations, businesses, educational systems, trade associations and arts and creative industry networks from 100+ communities throughout the state travel to Madison for this day-long event. State legislators, agency heads, and decision-makers learn about the arts, arts education, and creative industries sector, its multi-layered contributions to Wisconsin’s economy, infrastructure, and well-being, and its current needs and concerns, from constituents and community members working in these fields.
